Amgen Tour of California Final Stage Announced!
There is nothing easy about the 2010 Amgen Tour of California and Stage 8 will be the exclamation point for this year’s race. Starting at the upscale “The Oaks” shopping complex, the riders will roll neutral to the start of four 21-mile circuits. The cities of Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village and Agoura Hills host the final 84-miles of the 2010 Amgen Tour of California. What starts as a beautiful rolling stage gets a bit challenging at Mulholland Highway. Long regarded as one of the most scenic climbs in southern California and a favorite haunt of motorcyclists, Mulholland Highway features steep climbs and numerous switchbacks, making it a great place for spectators. As the riders pass the Malibu Family Winery, they will start a dangerous and technical descent on Westlake Blvd...

Andreas Knickman Tandem Fund
13 year old Andreas Knickman was diagnosed with osteo-sarcoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, in July of 2009. Andreas is the son of Roy and Debbie Knickman of
Newbury Park. Roy was a member of the 1984 US Olympic Cycling team, a former US National Champion and a member of the famous 7-Eleven Professional Cycling team,
competiting in the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and other major European races as well as the US. Roy was also the team director of the Prime Alliance Professional
Cycling team as well as the USCF National Junior team coach in the early 90's. Debbie was also a professional bike racer and tri-athelete.
As with any childhood cancer, it's been a very tough 6 months for Andreas and his family and the battle goes on. Through the generousity of Landshark Cycles,
Hed wheels and Bontrager, a tandem is being built for Andreas and Roy to help in his recovery. As genrous as those companies have been, there are still some items
remaining to complete the bike. We are asking for your help to raise money towards the purchase of a Shimano Dura-Ace Electronic drivetrain for their new bike.
Your help in any amount would be most appreciated. Any funds raised in excess of the cost of the parts will be donated to Andreas and his family to help
with his medical expenses. Your donation is tax deductable. Thank you for your help.

Join us for an informational meeting for the opportunity to ask questions and meet veteran riders. This ride has been graciously supported by many committed Amgen staff, the ACC, the Inflammation Business Unit and Amgen for the last 6 years. Come out and be a part of a great event.
